How is Loadster™ different?
There are a number of commercial, open source, and "home grown" tools available. Of course, every organization is unique and an approach that works great in one environment may not be ideal for another.

Easy To Use: No Coding
Nearly all of the other tools require mastery of a proprietary scripting language. Loadster™, on the other hand, uses an entirely graphical approach to recording and organizing test scripts. This allows our users to get up and running quickly, without assuming prior programming experience.
Realistic Test Scenarios
With Loadster™, you can set up scenarios to ramp the user load up and down with almost infinite possibilities. Instead of requiring an artificial "stair stepping" pattern, virtual users can be added in a natural bell curve or several other possibilities. This allows for a more realistic simulation of production usage.
Straightforward Reporting
Our automatic reports are straightforward and easy to use. We made a particular emphasis on consistency, so that reports from successive test runs can easily be compared "apples to apples".
Cost Effective
While other commercial tools have extremely high licensing costs, the open source tools tend to require a large time commitment. Organizations that value their time, as well as up-front licensing costs, might find Loadster™ to be a very cost effective solution.

As a company, we pride ourselves on our agile and rapid release cycle. If you're interested in a particular feature and Loadster™ doesn't provide it yet, just let us know! Chances are, if it's relevant and fits with our product's direction, we'll add it in the next release (at no charge to you).
